Cox Business Ranks Highest in J.D. Power's 2013 U.S. Business Wireline Satisfaction Study
ATLANTA, June 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox Business received the highest ranking in J.D. Power's 2013 U.S. Business Wireline Satisfaction Study in the small/medium businesses segment, performing particularly well in performance and reliability, and billing.
Based on a 1,000 point scale, Cox Business scored 710 in the small/medium business segment (companies with between 20 and 499 employees).
"At Cox, we are laser focused on the voice of the customer. We understand the need to have a customer experience strategy that directly reflects the needs and expectations of our customers," said Mark Bowser, executive vice president and chief financial officer. "We are honored to receive this award from J.D. Power, and are committed to working tirelessly to provide our customers with the absolute best experience possible."
The study concluded the ability of business customers to bundle their voice and data services has an impact on overall satisfaction and customer loyalty. In fact, the desire to bundle is increasing among business wireline customers. Additionally, the survey found performance and reliability of the network remains a crucial component to ensuring satisfaction.
"Businesses can't afford to have anything less than world-class service," added Bowser. "This commitment to service excellence is a core value at Cox, which helps us earn the business of small to medium sized companies at accelerated rates across our markets."
As the fastest growing segment of Cox Communications, Cox Business surpassed 300,000 customers nationwide earlier this year, a key milestone for the company.
The 2013 Business Wireline Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 4,784 business customers of data and voice services in the United States and includes evaluations of their data and voice service providers. The study was fielded in October 2012 and March 2013.
Cox Business provides voice, data and video services for more than 300,000 small and regional businesses, including healthcare providers, K-12 and higher education, financial institutions and federal, state and local government organizations. According to Vertical Systems Group, Cox Business is one of the largest providers of business Ethernet services in the U.S. based on customer ports and has been consistently recognized for its leadership among small/midsize business data service providers.
