Cox and Virginia Sports Hall of Fame Sponsor Education Grant Program

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum and Cox Communications are partnering to offer the 2010 Cox Education Grant to Title I Elementary schools in the Hampton Roads area. This Cox grant underwrites the cost for more than 400 Hampton Roads area students, with primary emphasis in Title I schools, to attend a field trip to the Sports Hall of Fame Museum
Cox Communications is committed to supporting youth through education and technology initiatives. In accordance with that mission, the education grant will fund a program that focuses on Character Development and Healthy Lifestyle as taught through top of the line interactive technology found at the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. Your students will enjoy a fun and active learning experience with SOL inspiration.
