SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Coverity, Inc., the leader in development testing, today announced the appointment of Takahiro Kouke as Vice President of Japan Operations, effective immediately. Kouke will be responsible for driving Coverity's continued growth in the Japanese market, leading all revenue generation and field operations in the country.
Prior to joining Coverity, Kouke served as Country Manager for Novell K.K. & NetIQ K.K., where he helped lead the Novell Japan business unit to profitability. Kouke has also held leadership positions at Websense Japan, Quest Software, Radware and F5 Networks Japan.
"Japan has been a key driver of growth for Coverity over the past decade, as some of the most valuable brands in the world rely on us to help them deliver high-quality software and products to market," said Matt Green, chief revenue officer for Coverity. "Takahiro Kouke brings nearly three decades of experience, strong leadership and a proven track record of increasing revenues through both direct and channel sales to Coverity. I'm thrilled to have him join the team and am confident he will successfully lead us through the next phase of growth in Japan."
"Coverity pioneered the development testing market, which is now an industry best practice for every software-enabled company, in every region around the world," said Kouke. "Coverity already has an impressive customer base in Japan as companies have rapidly adopted development testing into their software and product quality processes. I am honored to be part of the team and I look forward to helping the company further its footprint in the region."
