Covanta Names Alan Katz As Vice President, Investor Relations
MORRISTOWN, N.J., July 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Covanta Holding Corporation (NYSE:CVA) ("Covanta" or the "Company") today announced that Alan Katz has joined the Company as vice president, investor relations, replacing Marisa Jacobs, who will be leaving the company to pursue another opportunity. He will be responsible for Covanta's global investor relations program as well as the Company's financial press efforts. Mr. Katz will report to Chief Financial Officer, Sanjiv Khattri.
"Alan brings a wealth of experience in dealing with the global financial markets and external constituents. His extensive financial background also gives him the analytical skills to enhance Covanta's investor relations function," said Khattri. Prior to joining Covanta, Mr. Katz held investor relations positions with WNS Holdings, a global BPO provider and Hertz Global Holdings, a multi-national car and equipment rental firm. Previously, he was a co-founder of the investor relations practice of CJP Communications, a mid-sized financial communications consultancy.
Mr. Katz has a BA in philosophy with a concentration in law and ethics from the University of Rochester as well as an MBA with concentrations in corporate finance and change management from New York University.
