CINCINNATI, April 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 9, 2015, Vice Chancellor John W. Noble of the Delaware Court of Chancery issued an order denying the request of American Messaging Services, LLC for a temporary restraining order that would have prevented Doc Halo, LLC from contacting certain paging customers. As a result of the Court's order, Doc Halo, a leading developer of mobile apps for healthcare, will continue to offer pager users the ability to integrate with its Mobile Health Platform.
In 2014, Doc Halo and American Messaging Services entered into a business relationship to bundle and cross-sell Doc Halo's Mobile Health Platform and American Messaging Services' paging services. In March, American Messaging Services filed a lawsuit and motion for a temporary restraining order seeking to prevent Doc Halo from contacting certain paging customers and to rescind the parties' relationship. The lawsuit appeared to be in response to the fear of losing paging customers to modern and more secure technology. The Court's April 9 decision denied American Messaging Services' motion, thus allowing Doc Halo to continue to offer its products to all customers.
"We are pleased with the Court's decision and we will continue to provide innovative mobile solutions to all of our customers, whether or not they utilize paging services," said Jose G. Barreau, CEO of Doc Halo.
