REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Course Hero, an online learning platform where members can access over 20 million course-specific study resources contributed by a community of students and educators, today announced that University of Michigan's John Branch, PhD, has been added to the ranks of distinguished educators that comprise Course Hero's Master Educators.
"Master Educators inspire students and break down barriers to learning," said Course Hero cofounder and CEO Andrew Grauer. "We're thrilled to recognize John's attention to detail, vast knowledge of the international business landscape, and marketing expertise. John's impact is felt far beyond his classroom, as he has worked with students across the globe since the 1990s. It was amazing to see John's engaging teaching practices firsthand when he came and lectured to our Course Hero team earlier in 2018."
Dr. Branch is Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Michigan, where he teaches a variety of marketing and international business courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive levels. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Dr. Branch was on the faculty of the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He has also served as an adjunct or visiting professor at more than 40 business schools throughout the world, including the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands, the Zagreb School of Economics and Management in Croatia, and the Sasin Graduate Institute of Administration in Thailand. Dr. Branch's work and teaching has been recognized through numerous awards, including the Master of Management Teaching Award by the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, in 2017.
Master Educators are featured in Course Hero's micro-documentary series highlighting teaching excellence in higher education. Dr. Branch's film focuses on how his knack for restoring antique cars inspires his approach to course design.
"Course Hero's vision is for every student to graduate confident and prepared," continued Grauer. "We are excited to partner with educators like Dr. Branch to enable the best possible outcomes, for students and instructors alike."
In addition to providing a platform that allows educators from all over the world to share resources with each other, Course Hero actively partners with educators in a variety of ways, including on-site lectures at Course Hero's headquarters, video course creation, and interviews in Course Hero Faculty Club that celebrate educators' best lessons.
Course Hero's newest Educator Partners include: Rebecca Hawthorne, Lecturer of Mathematics, University of New Hampshire; Jennifer Kreder, JD, Professor of Law, Northern Kentucky University; Scot Schraufnagel, PhD, Professor of Political Science, Northern Illinois University; and David Marcey, PhD, Professor of Science, California Lutheran University.
