Couple Takes on New Endeavor Opening Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Texas, July 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Glenn and Tammy Garrett were ready to start something new. Tammy spent years working in accounting and payroll and Glenn recently retired after over 30 years in the cement industry. On Thursday, July 17 at 11 a.m., the Garrett's will bring leading fast casual dining option, Dickey's Barbecue Pit, to Hillsboro. The new location will celebrate by hosting a three-day grand opening celebration with the first 50 guests receiving a gift card for up to $50.

Friday, the new Dickey's Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways. Saturday, radio station 102.5 The Bear will be onsite from noon to 2 p.m. and this location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.
