Country Star Justin Moore Turns 'SmallTown USA' into 'Coltstown USA'
No. 1 song rewritten for HANK FM listeners; to be performed LIVE in Indy today
INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Valory Music Recording Artist Justin Moore will appear LIVE today at the Blue Monday Colts Send-Off Rally to perform a Colts-customized version of his No. 1 hit, "Smalltown USA," dubbed "Coltstown USA."
The song, originally re-written by Ed Wank of the Country 97.1 Hank-FM morning show for The Colts, has been re-worked again by Moore, who will play it acoustically today at the rally. Following the rally, listeners can hear the song on Country 97.1 Hank-FM once an hour until the kick-off of Superbowl XLIV.
The Colts Send-Off Rally starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Artsgarden in Indianapolis. Colts cheerleaders, former players and Mayor Greg Ballard are to be in attendance.
Justin Moore broke onto the country charts in 2008 with his hit, "Back that Thing Up," a Top 40 hit. The Arkansas native hit the No. 1 spot with his second single, "SmallTown USA," in October 2009. He was the only new artist to have a No. 1 hit in 2009. His current hit is "Backwoods," which is a listener favorite on HANK FM, and also has a song played exclusively in Indianapolis by Country 97.1 HANK-FM called "Hank It." His style has been described as a heavy dose of southern, country charm and twang.
Country 97.1 HANK FM is the home of Country Music in Indianapolis. Hank-FM is also the flagship station of the Super Bowl-bound Indianapolis Colts. Every Play of Super Bowl XLIV will be heard on Country 97.1, Hank FM.
