Country Garden's Forest City receives three additional prestigious awards
The massive residential project that is a result of international cooperation draws attention
BANGKOK, June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Forest City, the large-scale residential project undertaken by Chinese property developer Country Garden Holdings, received three prestigious awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand from May 25 to May 26, 2017: Asia Pacific Property Award Mixed-Use Development Malaysia, Asia Pacific Property Award Architecture Multiple Residence Malaysia and Asia Pacific Property Award Best Architecture Multiple Residence Malaysia, this last award being the most prestigious of the three. In presenting the awards, the organizing committee for the event described the project in glowing terms: a masterpiece of architectural planning and design, the over 20 square kilometer project accurately portrays Country Garden chairman Yeung Kwok Yeung's visionary concept, a new city based on international cooperation, featuring a finely tuned blend of urban-level support facilities and physical industries. Prior to this set of awards, Forest City had earlier won five international awards, including MIPM Asia's Best Future Mega Project Gold Award for 2017 and Frost & Sullivan's Asia Pacific Property Development New Product Innovation Award for 2016.
Asia Pacific Property Awards enjoy a wide reputation
This year's Asia Pacific Property Awards, part of the International Property Awards and designed to recognize the most outstanding real estate developments and developers from around the world, was held in Bangkok, bringing together over 600 property development executives from around the world. The multinational judging panel was made up of several dozen of the sector's leading professionals.
The International Property Awards, established in 1995 and hosted each year by different international property organizations, are considered the Oscars for the real estate sector. The awards, split into regions covering Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, the Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe and the US, recognize high-quality real estate development projects that have made the greatest social contribution globally and are well-known across the global real estate community.
Since 2008, the International Property Awards has added awards for Asia Pacific, recognizing outstanding real estate projects in the region. This year, more than 100 projects competed for awards in a variety of categories, with the competition for Asia Pacific Property Award Architecture Multiple Residence Malaysia noted as having been the fiercest.
