Unveils world-class conference program filled with break-though research focused on solid waste engineering and management

Penton's Waste360 Group today announced that Jacques Franco, Science and Policy Fellow at the UC Davis Policy Institute for Energy, Environment and Economy, will keynote the 2016 Global Waste Management Symposium (GWMS) (www.wastesymposium.com). The GWMS is North America's leading technical conference for the presentation of applied and fundamental research and case studies on waste management. The event is produced in conjunction with Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) and the National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA), will take place January 31-February 3, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, CA.

He brings 25 years of environmental science experience in California, as well as research in both the private and public sectors. Previously, he was CalRecycle's lead technical person for urban biomass to fuels and energy conversion technologies. Franco has also authored and edited over 40 technical and peer-reviewed publications.
The conference will offer innovative presentations and posters in many areas related to solid waste engineering and management.
