The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "We want to talk to insiders at an established construction company, who possess well documented proof a general contractor in their state has been awarded federal contracts, or subcontracts for work on highways, military bases, super fund environmental clean up sites, or any other type of major federal contract, if the company awarded the contract was awarded the contract, because they falsely claimed to be a minority owned business.
"The rewards for this type of information can be substantial. If you have information about a company involved in this type of activity please call us at 866-714-6466. If the information is rock solid, we will partner with you, we will help package your information, and make certain you get to some of the nation's best whistleblower law firms." http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
As an example of this, in June 2014, the Justice Department announced that a number of related entities and individuals agreed to pay $2,883,947 to resolve allegations that they falsely claimed disadvantaged business status on a number of federally-funded transportation projects.
The settlement announced resolves allegations that the defendants claimed DBE status for TesTech, a civil engineering firm, on numerous highway and airport construction projects in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. The United States alleged that TesTech was owned and controlled by CESO, a non-DBE firm, and its owners, the Oakes, who falsely claimed that TesTech was owned by Aziz and qualified as a minority-owned business in order to take advantage of the DBE program.
In this instance the whistleblower will receive $562,370 of the settlement amount.
The Whistleblower Center says, "Again, if you have well documented proof a company is involved in a scheme to get an unfair advantage in the federal bidding process by falsely claiming they are a minority owned business, please call us at 866-714-6466. If we deem your proof sufficient, we will partner with you, we will help you package your information, and then we will get you to some of the nation's top whistleblower attorneys." http://CorporateWhistleblowerCenter.Com
Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center:
- Do not go to the government first if you are a major whistleblower. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "Major whistleblowers frequently go to the federal government thinking they will help. It's a huge mistake."
- Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower's information could destroy any prospect for a reward.
- Do not try to force a government contractor or corporation to come clean to the government about their wrongdoing. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, "Fraud is so rampant among federal contractors that any suggestion of exposure might result in an instant job termination."
- The Corporate Whistleblower Center emphasizes that they want to talk to potential whistleblowers with proof a contractor is falsely labeling themselves as a minority owned business in any city or state, including Los Angeles, California; New York, New York; Miami, Florida; Houston, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; Baltimore, Maryland; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; New Orleans, Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; or Anchorage, Alaska.
Any type of insider or employee who possesses significant proof of their employer or a government contractor defrauding the federal government is encouraged to contact to Corporate Whistleblower Center anytime at 866-714-6466 or via their web site at http://CorporateWhistleBlowerCenter.Com
