The Corporate Advocate of the Year award pays tribute to an individual executive with one of the USHCC's Corporate Partners, who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to champion the cause of Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs), the nation's fastest growing minority entrepreneurial group. The business advocacy award specifically recognizes the individual who worked tirelessly within their organization to advance the mission and vision of the USHCC in support of its key constituents. The Corporate Advocate recipient understands the power of bringing together the local chambers, the Hispanic Business Enterprises and the corporate partner.

This award is an opportunity for the USHCC to recognize her hard work and commitment to Hispanic business."
As Head of Merchant Relations at Visa Inc., Parella leads the strategy and execution of initiatives designed to expand Visa's relationships with merchants in North America by providing them with products and services that help them meet their business goals.
A 14-year Visa veteran, Parella previously served in a number of merchant sales positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as the senior account executive responsible for managing the company's relationships with U.S. travel merchants. Before joining Visa in 1997, Parella served as an associate in the asset securitization group at the global investment bank of Credit Suisse First Boston, and in various sales and trading positions at Chase and Bankers Trust. She lives with her husband and three children in Summit, NJ.
"I am extremely honored to represent Visa in accepting this award," says Parella. "Visa is proud to partner with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and its local chambers to help Hispanic-owned businesses to attract new customers, operate more efficiently and grow."
