Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers Appoints New Global Head of Business Development

HARTFORD, Conn., June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, one of the largest global real estate investment managers, today announced the appointment of J.D. Sitton as a Managing Director in Business Development. Mr. Sitton will succeed Graham Bond, who will be retiring as Global Head of Business Development on August 30, 2015 after seven years at Cornerstone and more than 35 years in the real estate investment industry. Mr. Sitton will join Cornerstone on July 7 and will work closely with Mr. Bond to ensure a seamless transition before assuming the role of Global Head of Business Development upon Mr. Bond's retirement.

Mr. Sitton, 44, brings over 20 years of experience working with institutional real estate investors, both in the U.S. and globally, to his new role at Cornerstone. He joins the firm after 13 years with JPMorgan Asset Management, where most recently he served as Managing Director and Client Portfolio Manager of Marketing and Client Relations within its Global Real Assets Group. He also served as a member of JPMorgan's U.S. Real Estate Management team and on the Global Investment Advisory Committee for JPMorgan Asset Management. Previously, Mr. Sitton spent five years in Client Services at Lend Lease Real Estate Investment Management. Before that, he was an Accounting Manager at Equitable Real Estate Investment Management Inc. Mr. Sitton holds a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and is a CFA Charterholder.
