Core Security Mitigates Security Risks and Increases Efficiency With Release of Core Mobile Reset and Core Access Insight 9.2
Security Leader Introduces New Technology to Streamline Password Reset Process
LAS VEGAS and ATLANTA, Nov. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Gartner IAM Summit Booth #202 -- Core Security®, a leader in Vulnerability, Access Risk Management and Network Detection and Response, today announced the release of Core Mobile Reset 1.0 and Core Access Insight 9.2. With the introduction of these solution updates, enterprise security teams will now be able to resolve immediate threats with prognostic analytics applied to the big identity and access data, while also enhancing organizational efficiency.
Ineffective password management is a significant burden to most organizations, resulting in increased costs and security risks. Core Security's Mobile Reset authentication solution provides customers with greater efficiency by streamlining the password reset process on users' mobile devices. Specifically, Core Mobile Reset provides organizations with:
- Self-Service: Allows users to manage their password reset when needed and unlock accounts easily using their mobile devices.
- Save resources: Reduce password reset calls into help desks through the use of self-service password management capabilities. Enterprise can now achieve a rapid ROI by reducing service call volume up to 80%.
- Receive intuitive reporting: Provides the ability to report on enrolled users and details on their account unlocks and resets. A searchable audit trail can be created for all password reset interactions to prove compliance.
- Secure authentication: Using advanced authentication, users can securely reset their password by fingerprint and/or answering a personal verification question through a mobile app, SMS text or voice biometrics.
"In today's dynamic threat landscape, companies need comprehensive identity, access and vulnerability management solutions that are also efficient and provide flexibility," said Chris Sullivan, CTO and CISO of Core Security. "We've taken the complicated password reset process and made it faster and simpler with Core Mobile Reset. Our self-service approach not only provides customers with a secure, multi-factor authentication solution, but also provide companies with a rapid ROI with the reduction of help desk service calls."
Core Access Insight provides a comprehensive, real-time view of the multi-dimensional relationships between identities, access rights, policies, resources, and activities across a multitude of enterprise systems and resources. With the new update, Core Access Insight 9.2 now supports setting up Segregation of Duties (SoD) policies for Roles and Entitlements, so users can now create policies in the Manage Policy page to set up SoD Roles and SoD Entitlement policies. SoD Roles Violations checks for separation of duties between two roles and sends a notification and the SoD Reports section providing a comprehensive view of all SoD Violations. The new Access Insight builds on this market leading solution that Core Security released earlier in the year and now features major technology enhancements including an in-memory, graph database technology which is critical to manage and provides visibility on the complex, interconnected web of identity and account relationships.
Sullivan adds, "With the constant analysis of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, as well as other security data, Core Access Insight 9.2 also helps enterprises address compliance issues with its ability to set up Segregation of Duties policies."
