CORD:USE Announces Partnership with Scottsdale Shea Hospital
ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- CORD:USE Cord Blood Bank is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Scottsdale Shea Hospital to provide the expectant parents who deliver at Scottsdale Shea the option to donate or privately bank their babies' cord blood using CORD:USE's high quality services.
CORD:USE is one of the high quality cord blood banks chosen by HRSA of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to help build the National Cord Blood Inventory (NCBI). Accordingly, the cord blood units donated through the CORD:USE Cord Blood Collection Program at Scottsdale Shea Hospital, which meet the necessary criteria, will be placed in the NCBI to be available for patients in need of a potentially life-saving transplant. This program which will lead to saving countless lives will commence in the beginning of 2013.
