Coral Springs Museum of Art Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Permanent Collection
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla., May 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Join the Coral Springs Museum of Art as it celebrates 20 years of providing art to the community with a permanent collection exhibit, starting Saturday, June 10, 2017.
"Each of the pieces in the permanent collection have been acquired by or donated to the Museum throughout the past 20 years," said Julia Andrews, Executive Director of the Coral Springs Museum of Art. "The Museum is what it is today thanks to the many artists who have shared their talents with our community and exhibited here. What better way to celebrate our 20th Anniversary than by displaying our permanent collection for everyone to enjoy?"
The Museum's permanent collection exceeds 125 works, and features such prolific artists as Keith Haring, Hunt Slonem, Alexandra Nechita, Romero Britto, Andres Desjardin and Pablo Cano.
In honor of the exhibit's opening, there will be a complimentary reception on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
"There's no better way to embrace and understand art than by meeting the people behind its creation," said Andrews. "The goal of our artist receptions is to have our guests connect with the art on a deeper level."
The permanent collection will be on display through September 2, 2017.
