COPsync and LIFEWatch USA enter into a Joint Technology Development Agreement for COPsync Beacon, a Hand-Held Remote Alert Device for COPsync911

DALLAS, April 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- COPsync, Inc. (NASDAQ: COYN), which operates the nation's only law enforcement in-car information sharing and data communication network and the COPsync911™ threat-alert service for schools, government buildings, hospitals and other potentially at-risk facilities, announced a joint technology development agreement with LIFEWatch USA, one of the nation's leading providers of Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS). The collaboration will focus on the development, marketing, and distribution of a hand-held device, tentatively named the COPsync Beacon, which may be used to remotely trigger a COPsync911 alert.

The development of COPsync Beacon is part of the Company's ongoing strategy to seek business relationships that enhance the functionality of its SaaS platforms and its marketing and distribution efforts. The Company sees the addition of remote alert devices to its COPsync911 threat-alert system as adding significant value by providing another mechanism for persons under threat to send an emergency alert through the COPsync911 threat-alert system, already installed in over 1200 locations in 10 states.
