Copper Strengthens Executive Team with the Addition of Two Industry Veterans
With a New Chief Revenue Officer, Chief People Officer, and its first SVP of Finance, Copper Prepares for Continued Growth
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Copper, the #1 CRM recommended by Google for today's digital workplace formerly known as ProsperWorks, today announced that Adrian Ivanov and Charles Ashworth have joined the company as chief revenue officer and chief people officer, respectively. The deep industry expertise and experience that both Ivanov and Ashworth bring will help Copper continue its record customer, partner and market share growth.
At this time, Copper is also happy to announce that M.G. Thibaut has been promoted to senior vice president of finance and operations, strengthening the company's female leadership. "M.G. has been instrumental in the accelerated growth of Copper over the last year," said Jon Lee, chief executive officer at Copper. "Within a booming industry, it's our top priority to have insightful people leading the charge internally. Her executionary skills and commitment to the success of this company deserves continued recognition."
Thibaut joined Copper a little over one year ago, bringing a broad base of operating model knowledge from companies ranging from social commerce (Ruby Ribbon), subscription (Strava) and advertising (Revision3, acquired by Discovery Communications). She also worked within Yahoo!'s business operations and strategy departments for six years.
This executive team growth mirrors that of the CRM industry, which is predicted to hit record growth in 2018, after achieving $36.8 billion in 2017. "As a go-to partner of Google, we have the ability to change the way the industry operates," said M.G. Thibaut, SVP of finance at Copper. "As we continue to build out our team in a variety of directions, we are able to push our growth to new heights and therefore influence an entire industry."
Ivanov joins Copper after working with industry leaders such as SmartRecruiters, FinancialForce and Oracle. Ashworth comes with a diverse background, and has gained experience from working with companies like Riverbed Technology, Viator, and Oracle's NetSuite.
"Copper is taking a new approach to a space that desperately needs to shift away from the legacy mindset," said Adrian Ivanov, chief revenue officer at Copper. "I'm excited to bring my experience to Copper, and work with a team of driven individuals, including M.G., to change the trajectory of the CRM industry."
In tandem, Copper's decision to hire a chief people officer comes after the company issued a survey that examined how the relationship landscape is shifting in the digital age. The survey, "The State of CustomerManagement in the Relationship Era," showed that more teammates are involved in managing customer relationships than ever before. Copper's mission is to put relationships front and center, and this key hire reflects that mission internally to ensure that Copper's team is supported and set up for success.
