Coordinated Health's Lehigh Valley Sports Rise Continues; Major Presence With Phillies' AAA IronPigs Begins Tonight
ALLENTOWN, Pa., June 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Less than a week after both the acclaimed Coordinated Health Athlete of the Year celebration of high-school athletes and Coordinated Health UCI Keirin Cup cycling competition, specialized hospital network Coordinated Health today announced it will continue to expand its commitment and service to local sports.
The news is being underscored at this evening's Lehigh Valley IronPigs' home game in Allentown with the launch of the Coordinated Health Club Level, the Coordinated Health Services Center and the Coordinated Health Employer of the Week program. Coordinated Health is a proud new partner of the team, the Triple-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Philadelphia Phillies.
"The Coordinated Health family is thrilled to support the IronPigs and their many fans," said Coordinated Health CEO Dr. Emil Dilorio. "Coordinated Health has a rich heritage in sports medicine and we're proud to partner with local sports teams. The IronPigs is an amazing organization and the games are so family-friendly. We love seeing the sold-out crowds here and watching thousands of people having a good time and wearing our CH shirts. It's always a great night out at the IronPigs."
Coordinated Health Club Level: As the season-long special section at IronPigs games that seats some 1,500 luxury-suite and corporate season-ticket holders, the Coordinated Health Club Level will engage its guests with Coordinated Health's "A Better Experience" approach.
Coordinated Health Guest Services Center: "A Better Experience" will also serve as the inspiration of the Coordinated Health Guest Services Center. The center is a headquarters for the IronPigs' giant home-game fan base; the team consistently draws more than 600,000 fans per season, more than any other minor-league baseball team.
Coordinated Health Employer of the Week: Starting June 16, the Coordinated Health Employer of the Week will honor a Lehigh Valley business that embodies the "A Better Experience" philosophy followed year-round by Coordinated Health. The selected employer will be spotlighted in the Coordinated Health Club Level each week.
Tonight's Special Coordinated Health Events: Coordinated Health is hosting many activities at tonight's IronPigs-Indianapolis Indians game, including photo and autograph sessions for fans with Charlie Manuel, who managed the Phillies to the 2008 World Series championship, and catcher Darren Daulton, pitcher Tommy Greene and other standout players from the Phillies' 1993 National League pennant-winning team, as well as t-shirt and water bottle giveaways and raffle items.
Fans will see many other Coordinated Health additions to the IronPigs' Coca-Cola Park, including permanent outfield signage.
Coordinated Health Chief of Staff Dr. Wayne Lucetti is throwing out tonight's ceremonial first pitch. The other ceremonial pitcher is Zack Bradley, who won the top honor at the inaugural Coordinated Health Athlete of the Year awards banquet Tuesday evening in Bethlehem, Pa.
Bradley, who graduated from Catasauqua High School this week as a standout pitcher and quarterback, was among 32 Coordinated Health Athlete of the Week student-athletes from The Morning Call coverage area in eastern Pennsylvania honored for their athleticism and leadership. Coordinated Health plans to stage the event annually.
In its role as health provider to athletes at more than a dozen Lehigh Valley high schools, Coordinated Health administers health screenings to thousands of students.
Coordinated Health's commitment to sports was also on display yesterday at the United Health UCI Keirin Cup, the first competition of the 2014 World of Series of Bicycling held at the renown Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown, Pa. U.S. star Missy Erickson won the women's title and Olympian Eddie Dawkins of New Zealand the men's crown.
