Coordinated Health Redefines Patient Access, Becomes the First in Its Region to Offer Elective Orthopedic Surgeries on Saturdays
ALLENTOWN, Pa., Sept. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Addressing the need for healthcare providers to better serve patients who are busy or out of town during the week or experience a weekend sports injury, Coordinated Health today announced that it will start elective orthopedic surgeries on Saturdays. Coordinated Health is the only healthcare provider in its eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey region to offer this service.
The new services raise Coordinated Health's standing as the most accessible musculoskeletal healthcare and sports medicine provider in its area. The first Saturday surgery was scheduled this week for September 27 at Coordinated Health's Bethlehem hospital at 2310 Highland Avenue.
"Today, consumers expect greater simplicity and accessibility in every aspect of their lives," said Coordinated Health CEO Dr. Emil DiIorio. "We've listened carefully to our patients and understand that we need to assemble and provide them with flexible hours, immediate support, and locations near and between their homes and workplaces. Coordinated Health will continue to enhance and expand services that deliver on that need."
Coordinated Health offerings featured in a new advertising campaign titled "Unbeatable Access" include:
Elective orthopedic surgeries on Saturdays: The Saturday offerings also include imaging and physical therapy.
Same-day orthopedic appointments: Any patient who calls Coordinated Health on weekday mornings can receive an orthopedic appointment that same day.
Extended Friday night hours: In addition to being on area football fields, Coordinated Health orthopedic surgeons will also be on call for six Care on Demand locations.
Saturday morning appointments: Orthopedic surgeons will be seeing patients at two Coordinated Health locations, 2775 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem and 1621 North Cedar Crest Boulevard in Allentown, every Saturday morning.
