Monday morning, the cooking school sessions begin with hands-on cooking classes in the kitchen at Crane Cottage and continue through Wednesday. Participants may expect to learn from professionals how to prepare delectable gourmet dishes, methods of efficiency in food preparation, professional standards of food safety, and creative presentation skills. "We share with our cooking school participants some of the 'secrets of the trade' that distinguish our cuisine from others, said Executive Sous Chef Lewie Mashburn."
Pastry sessions focus on the dessert course, and a wine tasting with the Hotel's sommelier gives insight into pairing wines with courses. A full breakfast is served each morning, and participants also enjoy a farewell dinner the last evening that they help prepare.
The fee for the cooking school package is $1745.00 per couple or $1225.00 for an individual. Call 855-639-8781 for reservations!
Our Cooking School gives you plenty of time to enjoy the island as well! Take a relaxing stroll on nine miles of beach, a bike ride through the historic district or enjoy Victorian Tea one afternoon.
