ConvergEx Group's ConnEx Wins Best Infrastructure Initiative at the American Financial Technology Awards
NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- ConvergEx Group, a leading technology company, today announced that ConnEx, its outsourced hosted FIX connectivity infrastructure business, was named the Best Infrastructure Initiative at the 8th annual American Financial Technology Awards (AFTAs). ConnEx was also named a finalist for the Best Risk Analytics Initiative for its risk monitoring application.
Hosted by WatersTechnology, Buy-Side Technology, Sell-Side Technology and Waters magazine, the AFTAs recognize industry excellence in the deployment and management of financial IT within the wholesale investment banking community. The AFTAs received more nominations this year than in any previous year.
Launched in January 2012, ConnEx offers the latest FIX technologies along with a dedicated team of professionals to customize complete solutions with highly flexible FIX gateways and top-quality FIX protocol implementation. These services help broker-dealer customers more efficiently manage their daily operations and save significantly on capital expenditures. Outsourcing FIX connectivity requirements and leveraging the ConnEx infrastructure lets customers fully focus on their core business objectives and worry less about technology upgrades, hardware changes, scalability, redundancy and FIX customization.
"This award is great recognition of the fact that we have delivered a robust, flexible and truly innovative solution to our customers. For the first time ever, our customers can have a complete picture of their entire FIX connectivity architecture so they can better manage their clients, expenses and trading risk," said George Rosenberger, head of ConvergEx's ConnEx. "When we started this business, we knew that we had a product that would change the way financial firms think about their FIX infrastructure, but we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and the breadth of customer interest. We are extremely proud of this initiative and look forward to continuing to help our customers streamline their processes and save money."
The Best Infrastructure Initiative award focuses on global infrastructure deployments on the buy side or the sell side. The judges looked for innovative strategies that deliver basic infrastructure support across the enterprise, reduce costs, and improve the delivery time of necessary resources to local clients.
