Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcomes New Board Members
Marshall and Sanders Lend Their Industry Expertise to the Bureau Mission
FRANKLIN, Tenn., Oct 2, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau (WCCVB) welcomes two new board members to their 16-seat board with the addition of Andy Marshall, owner of Puckett's Family of Restaurants and Michael Sanders, General Manager of Franklin Marriott Cool Springs. This infusion of fresh faces comes on the heels of the arrival of Ellie Westman Chin, the new President & CEO for the WCCVB as the organization plans for growth of the destination product as well as increased visitation of travelers.
Marshall and Sanders bring a wealth of experience to the table and will help guide the Bureau's mission to increase travel-related spending while enhancing the visitor experience. Andy Marshall, a well-known and respected community leader, brings over 20 years of restaurant & entrepreneurial expertise to the table while Michael Sanders, a newcomer to the area, brings 22 years of hotel & management experience to the board.
"I know first hand the importance tourism plays in our community and its economy," Andy Marshall stated. "I'm thrilled to be asked to serve on the Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau board of directors and look forward to working with its partners and stakeholders to share all that Williamson County has to offer to regional, national and international travelers."
Visitors make their way to Williamson County in record numbers as reflected by the annual research figures provided by the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
