ControlCam Appoints New CEO
Frank Wilson is named President & CEO
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ControlCam has announced that it has hired Frank Wilson as its new CEO. Mr. Wilson's track record of implementing successful business strategies and extensive engineering and avionics background will help ControlCam with its growth initiatives in both its aerial imagery and signal testing businesses.
Frank Wilson has been a business leader in the Aerospace & Defense industry for over 25 years and in that time he has successfully grown numerous businesses. Frank's Control Cam related experience included work on numerous military airborne surveillance systems along with successfully growing iRobot's commercial Security Robotics business.
As Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Defense and Security Business unit at iRobot, Frank led the expansion of the commercial market from a few million dollars to more than $30 million in 2015 while stabilizing a declining defense market. At BAE Systems, Frank led Business Development for the $4B Electronic Systems sector and prior to that, was the VP/GM and Director of numerous businesses within BAE Systems and in each of those businesses, very high business growth rates were achieved.
Frank is an avid aviator, member of AOPA and an aircraft owner. Frank holds undergraduate degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (Tau Beta Pi), as well as a Masters in Control Systems Engineering, all with honors. Frank also received an Executive MBA (Beta Gamma Sigma) from Boston University with highest honors.
