Continental and Continental Micronesia Flight Attendants Congratulate United Peers on Contract
Foundation Improved for Single Contract Negotiations
CHICAGO, Feb. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Following the overwhelming vote by Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), to ratify a contract for improvements covering the 15,000 pre-merger AFA members at United Airlines, the union's leaders from Continental and Continental Micronesia issued the following statement of congratulations:
"The Continental and Continental Micronesia Master Executive Councils congratulate the legacy United Flight Attendants on ratifying their agreement. The ratification of the legacy United agreement lays one of the three cornerstones necessary to reaching an industry leading joint agreement," stated Suzanne Hendricks and Marcus Valentino, the AFA presidents representing the 10,000 Flight Attendants from pre-merger Continental Micronesia and Continental, respectively.
