Contemporary Services Corporation Renews Contract with University of Northern Colorado

NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Sept. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), the world leader in event security and crowd management, recently announced its contract renewal with the University of Northern Colorado (UNC).  CSC's Denver branch will provide general security positions, credential checkpoints and ushering services for Nottingham Field and Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion, both located on the University's west campus.  UNC has been a CSC client since 2006 and will continue its partnership under the direction of Kyle Tiernan, Director of Athletic Facilities and Events.

Nottingham field, home to UNC football, was built in 1996 to replace the deteriorating Jackson Field and provide the Bears with a modern stage where they would launch themselves into two Division II National Football Championships.  The 6,500 seat multi-purpose stadium showcases UNC football games, track & field events, and graduation.  

The Butler-Hancock Sports Pavilion originally opened in 1975 and underwent renovations in 2006. Improvements include new scoreboards, new sound system, renovated restrooms, new ticket center and the addition of the Hall of Athletics.  UNC volleyball, men's and women's basketball and indoor track and field events are all held in the 3,100-seat arena each year.  The UNC men's basketball team won the Big Sky Tournament in 2011 and received their first ever invitation to the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament.
