NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Contemporary Services Corporation held a ribbon cutting ceremony on December 1st, 2017 to commemorate CSC employee, Erick Silva, who was fatally shot during the attack on the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The CSC Las Vegas employee training center will be renamed in his honor.
Erick Silva joined CSC Las Vegas on September 18, 2014. He was a graduate of Las Vegas High School and upon his graduation wanted to pursue a profession in the security field. After obtaining his Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board work card, Erick started his career with several security companies before finding his home with CSC.
Erick was one of the 58 victims who died as a result of the incident. Erick was posted in front of the main stage barricade when the first round of shots were fired. He was among the event's first responders to assist concert patrons to safety until he himself was slain. Erick is survived by his mother, stepfather, brothers and sisters.
