Consumers Energy Names Pramada Reddy As Executive Director of Strategic Communications
JACKSON, Mich., April 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Pramada Reddy, who has more than a decade of corporate strategy experience, has been named executive director of strategic communications for Consumers Energy.
In the newly created position, Reddy will be responsible for leading the development and execution of internal and external communications plans supporting the corporate strategy and the company's major strategic initiatives.
Reddy will assume her new role on May 2 and will report to David Mengebier, the senior vice president of governmental and public affairs for Consumers Energy. Mengebier also serves as the company's chief compliance officer.
"Pramada has extensive experience in creating and carrying out strategic plans that effectively reach customers and other key stakeholders plus a track record of success in strategic and marketing communications on a variety of levels. She will play a lead role in our efforts to help our employees, customers, and others understand the company's strategy and key initiatives," Mengebier said.
Reddy previously worked as the senior director of global marketing for LexisNexis. She joined LexisNexis in 1999 and held a series of increasingly responsible positions, including senior director of content strategy.
Reddy earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan in 2006. Previously, Reddy earned a law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law and is a licensed attorney. She also holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan.
