Consumers Achieve Significant Savings When Ordering Verizon's High-Value Broadband Bundle
Customers Can Add Broadband and Regional Value Calling for as Low as $34.99 per Month
NEW YORK, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon phone customers waiting for just the right time to add broadband service to their household need wait no more. Starting immediately, those customers can add 768 kilobits per second (Kbps)-to-1 megabit per second (Mbps) Verizon High-Speed Internet (HSI) service bundled with a Regional Value calling plan offering unlimited local and regional toll calling.
The price for the double-play bundle is $34.99 per month, with a set price for 24 months. The bundle price is $44.99 per month for customers new to Verizon voice service. Both offers require a one-year contract.
The offers provide customers who have been using dial-up Internet or saving their computing needs for periodic visits to the library or other Internet-enabled public venues the opportunity to experience the convenience of broadband in their home at a value few competitors can match. Subscribing customers will receive one monthly bill for their service, enjoy a high degree of customer support, and be able to receive and make calls while using the Internet, rather than having to choose one or the other.
"Once you've experienced the always-on convenience of high-speed broadband in your home, dial-up Internet quickly becomes a distant memory," said Shawn Strickland, Verizon's vice president of consumer strategy. "The broadband service we are offering with this bundle is 17 times faster than dial-up. By adding a Regional Value calling plan, consumers will get a bundle that is unmatched in the market at about the same price as having landline phone and dial-up Internet service."
The new bundle is available as a triple play when the DIRECTV® CHOICE™ service is added. The price is $74.99 per month for new customers and $64.99 per month for existing Verizon voice customers. Both triple-play bundle prices are good for 12 months. One-year Verizon agreements and two-year DIRECTV agreements apply.
Only existing Verizon voice customers can order these offers online. New Verizon customers interested in learning more about these offers should call 1-800-VERIZON (1-800-837-4966).
