MORGAN CITY, La., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Conrad Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets: CNRD) announced today the signing of new contracts, bringing current backlog to approximately $70.3 million compared $41.0 million at June 30, 2010, $38.3 million at December 31, 2009 and $40.4 million at June 30, 2009.
New contracts include two 297'x 54'x 12' double skin tank barges with 30,000 gross barrel capacity, a 250'x 72'x 12' crane barge, two 88'x 35'x 10'6" inland towboats, and several 120' and 140'deck and spud barges.
New business added also includes two 245'x 48'x 12'LPG tank barges with approximately 16,000 gross barrel capacity designed for inland waterway operation and two 239'x 52'x 13'LPG offshore tank barges with approximately 17,000 gross barrel capacity.
Conrad Industries, Inc., established in 1948 and headquartered in Morgan City, Louisiana, designs, builds and overhauls tugboats, ferries, liftboats, barges, offshore supply vessels and other steel and aluminum products for both the commercial and government markets.
