Connexions Loyalty Hires New VP Mark Nyquist to Lead its Health and Wellness Initiative
RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Connexions Loyalty, a leading provider of loyalty and rewards programs, has named Mark Nyquist as its new Vice President of Product for Health and Wellness. The move aims to enhance the company's growth in the health and wellness market, expanding its reach to help companies strengthen employee engagement and wellbeing through industry-leading incentives solutions.
Nyquist, a graduate of Harvard Business School, comes to Connexions from UnitedHealth Group, where he began as director of a nascent department dedicated to consumer-driven healthcare products. Within a year he was promoted to VP, Product Management for Exante Financial Services (now Optum Bank), overseeing more than one million health care spending accounts. After leaving to consult for companies such as Cigna, Thomson Reuters Healthcare and UnitedHealth Group, he returned to OptumInsight—the analytics and technology division of UnitedHealth Group—where he worked as VP of Strategy and Market Development for Optum Government Solutions. There, he created concepts and developed business plans to bring new products to market.
"Mark brings a broad strategic and financial view of the health and wellness business to his role, and will position our incentive solutions in a way that resonates with audiences in this market," said Scott Lazear, President of Connexions Loyalty. "He draws upon years of expertise in building products for employers, and is an ideal fit to lead our health and wellness offerings."
