Connexions Loyalty Earns Top 15 Travel Agency Ranking
Bookings of $1.25 Billion Boost Agency in Travel Weekly Power List
RICHMOND, Va., Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Connexions Loyalty, a leading loyalty provider whose products and services touch more than half of America's families, continued its strong growth in 2012, earning a ranking in the top 15 in the Travel Weekly Power List. The Power List is a prestigious annual ranking that selects the top 50 companies in the travel industry based on total annual sales. Connexions' Loyalty Travel Agency was ranked 14th overall this year and the only agency with a sole focus on Loyalty Engagement solutions.
In order to qualify for the Travel Weekly Power List, companies needed to report $100 million or more in sales in 2012, for which they were the merchant of record as defined by suppliers. Companies were asked to include corporate, leisure, group, meetings and incentive sales made directly to consumers or corporate clients. At least 15% of the sales volume must have been generated in the U.S.
Connexions' Loyalty Travel Agency has seen significant growth over the past few years, with sales up nearly 45% since the release of the 2011 Power List, from $863 million then to $1.25 billion in this year's iteration of the list.

There were 1.6 billion person-trips (one person traveling 50 miles - one way or more away from home and/or overnight) for leisure taken in 2012. Top travel activities included visiting family and friends, shopping, fine dining and beaches.
