Connexient Continues Rapid Growth in 2018: Reaching 60 Hospitals & 70 Million Square Feet Mapped
Digital Wayfinding and Indoor Navigation an Important Tool in the Consumerization of Care, the #1 Healthcare IT Trend of 2019
NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Connexient, the healthcare leader in digital wayfinding and indoor GPS announced today double-digit growth in 2018, adding multiple marquee health system clients to its customer base. Connexient's MediNav™ is the most advanced digital wayfinding and indoor navigation solution available for hospitals and healthcare networks.
This year-over-year growth is due in part to the strong demand for a more seamless, digitally enabled, customer-oriented Patient Experience. According to David Betts, Principal in Deloittte Consulting's Healthcare practice, "the consumerization of care is the number one healthcare IT trend of 2019. Patient and family are firmly in the center now and that's driving a lot of disruption. We've seen an acceleration of consumers running out of patience with the challenges they have engaging with the system."
In 2018, Connexient exceeded its growth goals and continued to enhance its market leadership position by achieving the following milestones:
- Launched a major new release of MediNav (Version 3.0), and successfully completed an enterprise-wide deployment of V3.0 at 12 BayCare Health System hospital sites
- Joined Epic's App Orchard and announced plans to connect MediNav with Epic's MyChart at Rush University Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Health.
- Closed a major, multi-hospital enterprise agreement with Hackensack Meridian Health
- Gartner named Connexient "Cool Vendor for Wayfinding 2018" and sees Digital Wayfinding as a requirement for healthcare networks.
New Connexient clients in 2018 include the following: Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Mission Health System, Good Samaritan Hospital, St. Joseph/Candler Health System and Rush University Medical Center. The company continues to expand within its existing base of major clients including: National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinic, UAB Medicine, BayCare Health System, St. Joseph/Providence Health System, Memorial Hermann, Froedtert Hospital, WMC Health, RWJBarnabus, Atlantic Health System and more.
"We ended 2018 on a very positive note with 60 hospitals now under contract, and a total square footage of 70 million square feet mapped," said Connexient CEO and Co-founder, Mark Green. "We enter 2019 with a very robust pipeline. There is significant client interest in our new 'MediNav™ for MyChart™' module. We look forward to debuting this integrated solution at the upcoming HIMSS 2019 Conference in Orlando."
