ConnectivityWeek Call for Speakers and Buildy Award Nominations Open

DALLAS, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Clasma Events announced today that the 2011 call for speakers and annual Buildy Award request for nominations are now open for ConnectivityWeek.  This annual conference, which takes place from May 23-26 in Santa Clara, CA, will explore the value propositions, business models, and technologies needed to deliver the efficiency, productivity and cost benefits of Smart Grid, beyond the grid.

Starting as BuilConn in 2003, ConnectivityWeek's scope has expanded to explore how Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can be applied to manage energy and deliver efficiency on the grid and across an array of end-use segments – including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure consumption areas.

With more than 1,500 attendees, 200 industry-leading speakers, and dozens of high-tech exhibitors expected, ConnectivityWeek brings together the stakeholders who are shaping the future of energy, including utilities, consumers, policymakers, regulators, and technology companies.

Call for Speakers: ConnectivityWeek organizers are now seeking speakers with expertise in the subject areas of connected buildings, connected homes, industrial automation, electric vehicles, demand response, Smart Grid, cyber security, ICT, and related areas. Buildy Nominations: Since 2004, the Buildy Awards have been presented at ConnectivityWeek to leaders, visionaries, and implementers of smart devices and smart systems. New in 2011 is Buildy Face Time, an opportunity to increase the visibility of all selected nominees during the Tuesday evening reception. Candidates may enter the competition by nominating themselves, their own company, or their peers by April 15 online.  Finalists will be notified by April 29.
