September 18th Fundraiser in Bushnell Park Seeks to Raise Awareness for the Care & Cure for People in Connecticut Living with Spinal Cord Injuries
GLASTONBURY, Conn., Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Connecticut Chapter today announced ProHealth Physicians and the Hospital for Special Care as title sponsors of its first Roll-A-Thon special event scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 in Bushnell Park, Hartford. The event is seeking to raise awareness and funding for the cure and care of people with spinal cord injuries throughout the state of Connecticut. The Roll-A-Thon takes place on Saturday, September 18, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Relay teams of rollers will negotiate a wheelchair-accessible field course through picturesque Bushnell Park in downtown Hartford. Powered chairs, manual chairs, assisted rollers and non-wheelchair participants are all encouraged to join as the Reeve Foundation raises awareness and funds for its important care and cure projects. Join UConn Assistant Coach Kevin Ollie and the River 105.9 radio personality Renee DiNino for Roll-A-Thon T-shirts, refreshments, music, face painting and games for all to enjoy.
