BOCA RATON, Fla., Dec. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Autobrain, the connected car platform that turns any car into a smart car in less than five minutes, announced today the appointment of Yonah Lloyd as President and Tim Leuliette as Advisor to the Chairman, to help in Autobrain's mission to upgrade the nearly one billion vehicles on the road globally into safer, more connected cars.
Yonah Lloyd brings more than two decades of consumer and automotive technology experience to help lead Autobrain's global business strategy and bring safety through advanced capabilities to the nearly one billion cars on the road today. Lloyd has a strong record of corporate achievement, serving as a primary executive for three successful IPOs at Mobileye, SodaStream and Net2Phone. Backed by extensive entrepreneurial experience growing companies into category leaders on a global scale, Lloyd will also support Autobrain across partnership development, marketing, IR and public relations efforts.
Yonah Lloyd, President of Autobrain, commented: "I see the immense potential Autobrain has for growth. My involvement in automotive technology has proven to me what a multifaceted market this is, with the connected car clearly the next major consumer platform. While much of the activity is focused on new models, there are still more than 200 million cars in the US alone that will be on the road for well over a decade, without any connected safety features. I'm inspired by Autobrain's commitment to deliver 'smart car' technology and peace of mind for all drivers and their families and look forward to helping the company bolster more partnerships to bring critical safety features to a wider consumer audience, as we become the market leader in this new industry."
Tim Leuliette, an iconic automotive industry leader for more than 35 years, will utilize his extensive experience in the automotive sector to provide acute insight for Autobrain's corporate growth. Serving most recently as the President and CEO of Visteon Corporation, Leuliette has also held key positions for Metaldyne (which he co-founded), Asahi Tec Corporation, Penske Corporation, ITT and Siemens. Leuliette served as the Chairman of the Detroit Branch of The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and has managed many significant M&A and operational assignments for public and private corporations.
Tim Leuliette, Advisor to the Chairman of Autobrain, commented: "Autobrain is proving itself as a major player in the connected car space, which is especially evident in the extent of its innovative technology and the number of notable partnerships it already has in place. Autobrain Chairman, Tony Gelbart, has built extensive relationships in retail and across the business world, and I look forward to bringing my unique qualifications to the entire Autobrain team to help grow and solidify their position as the leading brand in their market."
Jeremy Gelbart, Co-Founder and CEO, commented: "We are very excited to welcome Yonah and Tim to the Autobrain family and look forward to their outstanding contributions. They are both highly accomplished executives who bring a wealth of experience that will help us execute with excellence as we revolutionize the relationship between consumers/fleet owners and their vehicles."
