Congressman Fattah Thanks Obama, Corbett and Others for Hurricane Disaster Relief

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), a senior member of the House Appropriations Committee and Chair of the Congressional Urban Caucus, releases this statement after President Obama signed a disaster declaration for Pennsylvania in the wake of Hurricane Irene. Fattah cited President Obama's action today during his comments at SEPTA's Queen Lane regional rail station, where the Congressman joined SEPTA and local officials to dedicate the station's $4 million renovation and safety upgrade, more than half of which was funded by the federal government.
