Congressman Fattah Statement in Support of VA Reform Bill
WASHINGTON, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Congressman Chaka Fattah (D-PA), a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies announced his support for the VA reform compromise legislation which the House will vote on tonight:
"I'm strongly supporting and look forward to voting on the VA reform bill today in the House. The compromise bill will authorize new clinics, bolster VA staffing levels, add space for existing clinics, and expand overall access to care. Further, it will open access to community health centers for veterans who have had to wait more than 30 days or live farther from VA facilities–one of my top priorities. It will be a major step towards getting our nation's veterans the care they need and deserve."
