Congressman Fattah Announces Public Schedule for the Week of September 8
WASHINGTON, Sept. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, Congressman Chaka Fattah (PA-02) announced his public schedule for the week of September 8, 2014. As Congress returns to Washington tomorrow from August recess, Fattah will highlight his legislative priorities in a series of meetings, speaking engagements, and public appearances in both Philadelphia and Washington. MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8
The Congressman will kick off the week by participating in two back to school events in the district. First, he will attend the House of Umoja's "Million Father March," which encourages fathers to become more involved in their children's education. The group will march to Guy Bulford Universal Charter School, and end at Commodore John Barry Promise Academy. He will then attend opening day activities at Learning in New Context, or LINC, one of the city's new public high schools. (Philadelphia)
The Congressman will join healthcare professionals and stakeholders at a reception celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Nursing Workforce Development Programs. (DC)
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9
The Congressman will attend VNG.CO's grand opening of their flagship compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility, located at the BP gas station on Abbottsford Avenue. (Philadelphia)
