Conference to Promote Youth Development, Crime Prevention in the Americas

WASHINGTON, June 24, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the U.S. Department of State and the Organization of American States (OAS) will sponsor the Youth Development & Crime Prevention Conference on June 28.

The conference will emphasize programs that target the social and economic roots of crime and violence in the Americas, and will be hosted by Mark Feierstein, USAID Assistant Administrator for Latin America and the Caribbean, Jose Miguel Insulza, OAS Secretary General and Arturo Valenzuela, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs.
