PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education (CLE) has announced the 26th Annual Airline and Railroad Labor and Employment Law advanced course. This conference will be held Thursday - Friday, April 27-28, 2017, in Washington, DC. The event will focus on updating attorneys and executives on developing issues that affect airline and railroad labor relations. Attendees will learn from and interact with eight members/administrators of the National Mediation Board. The program is designed to benefit lawyers of all experience levels, and who represent labor organizations, carriers, or individuals involved in the air and rail industries.
Airline and Railroad Labor and Employment Law will provide a look "behind the curtain" from government officials, arbitrators, and private practitioners engaged in resolving disputes under the Railway Labor Act. This is one of the only CLE conferences available that specifically deals with employment law in these industries. Some of the trending topics that will be covered are:
- International conflicts
- The FAA and regulation of unmanned aircraft systems
- Affiliations, mergers, and consolidations
- Labor relations under the bankruptcy code
In addition to a robust program schedule, there will also be two lunchtime presentations. The first will feature Linda Punchala, Chair of the National Mediation Board, and the second will feature Jennifer Ambrose, the Team Lead for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Regulatory Policy at the FAA. For the full course schedule and registration information go to www.ali-cle.org/cy016.
"For over a quarter of a century, this course has guided practitioners in charting developments impacting the labor and management laws that resolve disputes in the transportation industries. This April it will continue that tradition by bringing all of the parties together to explore and solve complex issues," said Joseph Z. Fleming, Planning Chair, Greenberg Traurig P.A., in Miami.
