Results of Conde Nast Traveler's 2011 Readers' Choice Awards are derived from a survey of the magazine's subscribers. This year, 28,876 readers responded to the survey, which asked them to rate the world's best cities, hotels, airlines, cruise lines and more. In the river ship category, readers rated their experiences based on the ships' activities/facilities, cabins, crew/service, design/layout, food/dining, itineraries/schedule, and shore excursions.
"We thank Conde Nast Traveler and its readers for recognizing our efforts to provide excellent river cruise experiences for our travelers at exceptional value," said Grand Circle Chairman and CEO Alan E. Lewis. "We are proud of our ability to connect our travelers with local people in homes, schools, and communities and to be able to offer our river cruises at the best value in the industry. In fact, if a traveler finds a lower price on any comparable river cruise departure, we will match the price. We are committed to offering travelers the best price in the industry."
