JOHNSTOWN, Pa., Dec. 21, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is pleased to announce that it has been named to the inaugural "100 Best Places to Work in Virginia" list. Rankings will be published in the February 2011 issue of Virginia Business. A unique partnership between the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Business magazine, the Virginia Society for Human Resource Management, and Best Companies group allowed the list to become a reality in 2011.
CTC serves its client base with more than 1,400 scientific, technical, and business professionals in over 50 locations across the nation. Over 100 employees work in Virginia. CTC offices are located in Crystal City, Stafford, and Fairfax. Employees are also stationed at client sites and other locations including Alexandria, Charlottesville, Herndon, Richmond, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. "We are pleased to have earned the Best Places to Work in Virginia distinction," said Edward J. Sheehan, Jr., CTC's President & Chief Executive Officer. "Employee survey results are the main determinant of a company's place on this list, and we are honored that our employees hold CTC in such high regard."
The goal of Best Places to Work in Virginia is to raise the bar among the state's employers and create excellence and employee engagement in the workplace that will attract talented people for years to come. This initiative is integral for Virginia to compete in both national and global arenas.
The selection process for the list is based on an assessment of the company's policies and procedures and the results of a 76 question Employee Engagement & Satisfaction Survey. Employee surveys are the main component for compiling the list, accounting for 75 percent of a company's score.
