IDIQ Contract has Potential Value of $230 Million to Four Awardees
JOHNSTOWN, Pa., June 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) has been awarded a contract to provide Naval Networking and Joint Base Services for U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic, Charleston, South Carolina. The five-year, multiple-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a cumulative value of $230 million for all four awardees. The multiple award contracts were competitively procured through full and open competition.
Under this contract, CTC will support a variety of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Command Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems and perform technology research, development, testing and evaluation to assist the Department of Defense (DoD) in developing and maintaining integrated communications systems. These services are available to all commands covered under the DoD Joint Basing agreement, including the U.S. Navy and other DoD and non-DoD activities.
"This contract represents the DoD's critical need to implement new technologies in support of the warfighter," said George E. McAllister, CTC Executive Director, Special Missions Solutions. "CTC is already working towards providing such services as joint base planning support, material technology and testing, training and education support, and technology research management. Advanced, integrated C5ISR technologies will help the commands more easily share decision critical information, increasing the efficiency and lethality of warfighter systems."
SSC Atlantic is one of three major Department of Navy acquisition commands, delivering high-end information technology products and services to naval fleets and other Defense Department stakeholders to connect our warfighters at sea, on land and in the air.
