Concurrent Expands Global Focus with New Vice President of Engineering
ATLANTA, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Concurrent (Nasdaq: CCUR), a worldwide leader in video and media data and advertising solutions, today announced the appointment of Andy Huang as vice president of engineering. Andy brings to Concurrent more than two decades of experience in the global video market. Andy's leadership focuses on addressing the unique challenges and complexities content providers, service providers, and advertising stakeholders are facing as they begin to launch next generation multi-screen services.

Andy comes to Concurrent with more than 20-years of engineering, product management and technology leadership in the video industry. Having worked on many international projects spanning a wide range of countries, including the U.S., Canada, Europe, China, Japan, India and Singapore, Andy brings a global perspective to the team. Prior to Concurrent he served as director of engineering for IP video at Cisco where he drove the innovation of new media technologies, including home networking, display, middleware, and more. He also held a number of leadership roles at Scientific-Atlanta (now a Cisco company), including director of product management and R&D. During his nearly 10-year career with the company, he lead a number of high profile initiatives, including developing the company's set top box strategy for China, as well as leading the creation of the IPTV/ITV access network and system architecture for cable operators.

Andy holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He received his master's and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering from Qinghua University and Shanghai University, both in China.
