Concur to Showcase Significant Corporate Travel Booking Enhancements at NBTA Convention
New usability enhancements, integration with social media tools and new mobile capabilities make it easier for business travelers to manage their travel and expenses
REDMOND, Wash., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Concur (Nasdaq: CNQR), the world's leading provider of on-demand travel and expense management services, today announced that it will be showcasing new corporate travel management capabilities at the NBTA Convention in Houston. New usability enhancements including a refined user interface, additional travel content and e-receipts from direct connect travel partners, integration to social networking sites and new mobile capabilities provide travel managers and business travelers more value in their Concur solution.
Already recognized as the market leader for travel booking technology, Concur's continuous innovation delivers monthly updates automatically at no additional charge to Concur clients. Notable recent innovations for Concur's solutions include:
- Enhanced usability for Concur® Cliqbook Travel – a new streamlined user interface allows users to combine search results by schedule and price into a single view. For example, recognizing that business travelers prefer non-stop flights and do not always know when those flights depart, Concur Cliqbook Travel can be configured to expand a user's time window automatically in order to retrieve non-stop flights. Additionally, Concur clients in the U.S. can now compare air and rail options side-by-side in a single view, for a time-saving feature already enjoyed by Concur users booking Deutsche Bahn in Germany and SNCF in France.
- Integration with Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter – enables travelers to share specific trips to the most popular social networking sites when they book their trip. If travelers choose to share their trip, the day prior to each departure, followers and friends will get a message about the upcoming trip along with the destination city.
- New mobile capabilities – travelers can receive flight status messages directly to a mobile phone with OAG flight status capabilities. With the direct connect to Amtrak's reservations system, travelers can also use their iPhone, BlackBerry® or Android™ phone to add rail to their travel plans.
- More travel content and e-receipts – travelers now benefit from the expansive inventory of hotel.info and HRS – Hotel Reservation Services hotel properties directly in the booking tool. Additionally, travelers will be able to enjoy the convenience, security and accuracy of detailed Marriott hotel folio data delivered directly into their expense report via e-receipts.
- Increased flexibility – Concur now supports Sabre's new ticket change option, QREX Plus, giving Travel Management Companies (TMCs) and travel managers greater flexibility when travel plans change. The integration with Amadeus' Master Pricer Travelboard provides a flexible low-fare search option within the Amadeus system ensuring that all possible fares available to the traveler are reflected in returned results. Concur will also showcase its implementation of Amadeus' Master Pricer Agent Fare Families. In the demonstrated configuration, available immediately to Amadeus customers based in the U.S., travelers can view and compare up to four fares for each flight in the display – non-refundable economy, refundable economy, and the cheapest business and first class seats available.
"Clients want their travel management system to be flexible enough to meet their needs – whether in the office or on the go," said Rajeev Singh, president and chief operating officer of Concur. "Our clients demand control over their travel spend, flexibility to tailor the solution to meet their needs, and the capabilities to make their traveler's lives easier. Concur's continuous innovation gives them just that."
