DRUMMOND ISLAND, Mich., Nov. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A year-round retreat offering 1,550 acres along Michigan's picturesque Great Lakes and a 110-acre parcel of land adjacent to its northeast boundary will sell at auction next month through industry leader Concierge Auctions. Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center, created by Domino's Pizza Founder and former Detroit Tigers owner Tom Monaghan, spans an impressive 4,800 feet of shoreline along Lake Huron, the second largest of Michigan's Great Lakes and the third largest fresh water lake on Earth. Previously offered for $12 million, the resort will sell at or above a $3.5 million reserve. Also for sale is the adjacent Hunt Club, which offers 3,000 feet of water frontage and no zoning or development restrictions. Previously offered for $1.35 million, this property will sell without reserve, either separately or collectively with the resort. The auction will be held on November 24th in cooperation with Tom Gray of Coldwell Banker Schmidt Realtors.
Located at 33494 South Maxton Road on the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the quiet and remote Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center boasts championship golf course The Rock, once named the "Best Places to Play" by Golf Digest.
