Comtrade Collaborates with Microsoft to Offer Free F5 Management Pack to System Center 2012 Users

BOSTON, April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Comtrade, a leading provider of IT infrastructure and application management and monitoring solutions, announced today that it is one of the first ISV partners to provide Microsoft System Center 2012 Operations Manager (SCOM) users with a freemium management pack that provides holistic monitoring of the F5 environment.

System Center users can access the free management pack (MP) through the SCOM console gaining visibility into the health and performance of F5 BIG-IQ, including CPU, memory, disk storage, network interfaces and basic health information for BIG-IP appliances managed by BIG-IQ.

Users seeking the freemium F5 MP from Comtrade can locate the plug-in directly through the Microsoft SCOM console. They'll receive an email to finalize the installation process; once installed, the free MP will provide:

• Automatic topology discovery and virtualization of BIG-IQ and managed BIG-IP devices,
• Health monitoring on connectivity status, high utilization and load availability data,
• Visualized performance of BIG-IQ appliances, and
• Emailed alerts and comprehensive reports.
