Comstor Achieves New Level of Global Training Certification from Cisco
Designation as Business Acceleration Learning Partner (BALP) Helps Drive Sales Based on Enhanced Learning
TARRYTOWN, N.Y., June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Westcon Group, a value-added distributor of category-leading unified communications, network infrastructure, data center, and security solutions with a global network of specialty resellers, today announced the company's Comstor business unit has achieved a new level of training certification from Cisco. The company is designated a global Cisco Authorized Business Acceleration Learning Partner (BALP) -- enabling Comstor partners to more effectively drive sales based on accelerated technology learning programs.
Cisco BALP is a new accreditation empowering partners to deliver advanced training on solutions based on Cisco technology. The training is applicable to nearly all Cisco architectures, including Cisco Unified Computing System (Cisco UCS), UC, UCCX/UCCE, Vblock and Vcube. Under this initiative, Comstor will closely align with Cisco development teams to create, customize and deliver these new sessions. BALP recognition further builds on the overwhelming success of Comstor's Executive Relevance Selling (ERS) initiative.
"We are pleased to add Comstor's Global Executive Relevance Sales (ERS) methodology to our Business Acceleration Learning Partner program," said Andres Sintes, Senior Director of Worldwide Learning Partner Channels at Cisco. "We believe the timing of ERS is ideal to help partners shift their customer conversations to the executive suite. ERS is a key piece to helping partners articulate the business relevance of their technology expertise."
Comstor is dedicated to offering innovative support programs, helping resellers build new revenue streams based on Cisco UCS. ERS is squarely focused on selling Cisco UCS™ to executives, offering training licenses for global partners based on unique methodology assessment and ROI tools. The selling tool also builds on the success of Comstor's global LEAP (Learn, Experience, Architect and Plan) "Centers of Excellence."
"At Comstor, we're committed to helping partners fully understand the value Cisco technology brings to their business," said Jon Pritchard, President, Comstor. "Our acceptance into BALP is further proof of the high value-add we consistently bring to partners on a daily basis."
