BROADVIEW HEIGHTS, Ohio, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- COMS Interactive, LLC (also known as Clinical Outcomes Management Systems or COMS), has announced that its Board of Managers has named Frederick T. Croft as Executive Chairman of the Company and Executive Chairman of the Board to lead the company, a Software as a Service (SaaS) product-based clinical platform for disease management across the post-acute continuum, into its next phase of growth.
"Fred is a proven strategic leader in charting and executing growth plans for technology-based healthcare companies, and we're looking forward to his leadership as he guides COMS in providing our customers with innovative IT solutions and an unmatched model of quality care for their patients," said Mark DeLaar, a member of COMS Board of Managers.
Croft has a career of nearly 40 years in the healthcare technology and financial services industries. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Rise Health, Inc., an information technology company whose analytics and engagement platform enables healthcare professionals to improve clinical outcomes and manage costs. At Rise, Croft oversaw finance, accounting and strategy for the company's industry-leading applications Stratus Population Health Analytics and Cirrus Patient Relationship Management.
He also served as COO of emergency room management and EMR software provider Ibex Healthdata Systems for five years, growing revenues exponentially while helping to define and institute innovative customer service practices.
"COMS Interactive's Daylight IQ® is a revolutionary product for post-acute care. Dramatic customer experiences and strong partnerships have established a solid platform for continued success," Croft said. "COMS is well positioned to capitalize on product enhancement and expand in key customer support areas to help our customers generate positive outcomes and improve their bottom line."
Croft, who is a graduate of Amherst College and earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Tulane University, began his career in the financial services industry. He was with Van Kampen Asset Management for nearly a decade where he held various positions in research, corporate strategy and new product development. He was also CEO and owner of a specialty finance company with extensive consulting experience.
Croft takes the helm from Edward Tromczynski whose experience in leading technology for early-stage organizations was a natural fit for COMS launch and formative years. "Ed played a pivotal role in introducing COMS and Daylight IQ® to the marketplace," said Paul Carleton, a COMS Board Member. "Our company name recognition and growth during our early years are a testament to his drive to deliver a game-changing technology to the care process. We thank Ed for his service as we continue on our path of growth and innovation."
COMS launched Daylight IQ® five years ago and today provides individual skilled nursing facilities, large chains and home care entities in 44 states with a resource that dramatically improves quality of outcomes and prevents unnecessary hospital readmissions.
"The vision, message and value that COMS brought to the market is increasingly relevant given the changes to care process and reimbursement methodology in the post-acute continuum," Croft said. "We're committed to helping our customers succeed in providing optimum care for their patients."
